On March 22, Catherine Massey, Senior Economist at Welch Consulting, will attend the Peter G. Peterson Foundation US 2050 Conference in Washington D.C. where scholars and policy experts will discuss the implications of her research inequality and intergenerational transmissions of wealth (coauthored with Jonathan Rothbaum and Liana Fox) along with several commissioned papers spanning a wide variety of topics related to our nation’s future.

Ms. Massey’s project, Past and Present Differences in Opportunity by Neighborhood, seeks to understand how intergenerational mobility has evolved over the course of the 20th Century and to predict how it may evolve over the next 30 years.
