G. Edward (Ted) Anderson, Ph.D., Welch Consulting Senior Economist and Principal, will speak at the 12th Annual ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law Conference in San Francisco on November 9, 2018. Dr. Anderson’s panel will discuss “Best Practices for Managing Wage and Hour Issues for a Hyper-Connected Workforce.”

The modern work place, connected through employee laptops, email, and cell phones, presents an array of new problems for employers. One of the most significant issues involves defining compensable time when it comes to the use of technology. The panel will address the need for employers in both unionized and non-union work places to institute, and adapt, policies and practices that allow for the collection of complete and accurate data from hyper-connected employees.
